Thanks Joe for finding that Thread...I was coming up dry...

I just bumped all the pics from the Craigslist ad @Wraith posted...it was his Thread...

Moriarity was well aware of and felt it lacked the Soul and quality of comparable Showcars...he knows his Showcars...I thought it made the era cut however and gave the Ole eyes a workout...sure got me excited...sounded like I was jumping up and down in my chair...:D

The trunk lid looks to be from an early 60's Nova or Chevelle.

Jalopy Showcar...I'll bet there's a plethora of brands wrapped up in it...It looks as if the Heads, Manifold and induction were used from the Other Thread shared...

Where did the info say it didn't run...Perhaps it could but was never completed...

Looks like they are upgrading it for driveability. Along with the cool new wheels and radial tires, it seems to have disc brakes on the front. I sure hope they are installing some EFI and electronic ignition next. Maybe even AC and power seats under the bubble.

I was thinking the same thing !!

Someone definitely spent some time and energy on it.

I'd drive the crap out of it!

A major improvement would be to make the front fenders follow the curve of the tires.....they're a little "blunt"

I wish that I could remember all of the story behind the build. Couple of guys built it in their back yard. Even did their own bubble. They built a charcoal pit, drank a lot of beer and went for it. Just took them one time to do the bubble in the shape that they wanted. I thought it turned out great.

Mark, I was not trying to put you down or your car. I just think the shape is more pleasing to my eye. It seems that with some final finishing and detail work it will be one hell of a ride.

Nope I like Mark's as the shape fits the car better an the fenders on this look wrong. Look added because cars have fenders not for the design of the car

The front fenders look like a “we need to put something here” kinda thing. I don’t have enough taste to say what it should look like for the fenders, but the rest of the car is an eye catcher for sure.

Plus, “a couple guys drinking by a fire pit “ and make a bubble top? 10 thumbs up!

They both have merit; however, Mark’s has a sense of proportion that the other seems to have missed...I like them both though...later.
