Buick Nailhead 425 Mini-Starter Question....

    better geared, starters for these engines..??

    hey snacky,if you want a good quality rebuild for your regular starter check out Mid-County auto supply,the prices are good too.

    Good question Snacky6, I had no idea that there was a smaller starter available . anyone got a pic of that on the motor ?

    Tom used to have a website but now it dosen't work.

    and last time i was there it no longer gave contact info nor price info on his roller rockers or the starter thing.

    Don't know of anyone running the adapter. That one is from www.phoenixtrans.com . The other one I know of is at www.transmissionadapters.com . Both are a bit too expensive for my tastes, at $550 and $600 a piece. I'm saving pennies so I can snag a cheap (read Chevy) TH400 to pull the guts out of and put into my nailhead ST400 case.
