Well I finally got screwed on ebay! I had been watching this carb adapter for a week, no bids...Iwas the only bidder and won it, sent a postal money order out the very next day which was July 12th. I e-mailed heathen1960 several times, the first time he told me he mailed it UPS, the second time he said USPS, I asked for a shipping #, said he didnt have one. Two weeks ago he said he would return my UN-cashed money order....nothing.

    So beware....he's also a HAMBER.

I asked him a few months ago if if he was the same guy on ebay and he said no....his address and other info is the same, it's him......Heathen

I had some eBay stuff sent from Florida to Wisconsin via USPS Priority mail. After 3 weeks, I finally got a bogus tracking number and complained to the seller that I did not have it. No response. Finally, after 5 weeks the parts showed up. The tracking number was right, it was shipped when he said, but it just did not show up in the stupid system. I hope yours works out as well. Gotta love the US Gov.

  3. Congrats...you first screw-over!

I've only had one item (some nice Imperial hubcaps) never show up....but getting screwed on shipping seems to be the go these days.

Just had an alternator arrive last week that the guy told me cost $47 to ship to Oz....turned up with a $31 stamp. Dishonest *****. $16 here, $16 there....I suppose it adds up after a while into a nice tidy little profit.

See if anyone lives in his area? where is he from? Also report him to E-Bay, they'll take care of him. They helped my son out on a bad deal.

man, if he is indeed a HAMBer, then take care of it via pm's and other private means...don't call someone out until it's absolutely positively a screw job...things can get nasty in a heartbeat when misunderstandings happen...

I was hoping the same thing with it just being late......but he doesnt have any shipping number, when you ship UPS you get a tracking number, when you ship US mail you get a shipping number, he sells lots of stuff, lots....how can you not have a shipping number??? When I sell stuff I hold onto the receipt until I know the cust got the part, then toss it.

Im more pissed that I didnt get the part, I really needed it.......wanted it.

Yeah if it is who you think it is, hes got almost 1500 posts, and is an Alliance member...so I dont think he is just some here today gone tomorrow type guy. Id take above advice, and if he is the HAMBer you think he is, PM him and give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe it makes me a bad person, but I totally treat deals with HAMBers different than ebay deals. Its more like you know the person here than it is with ebay. Or at least thats how it seems to me.

Please try not to include the Screwer's name in your posts, so he can continue to screw others. Including the ****-F'ers name only serves to alert others to the potrential of getting it stuck up their address.

The exception here is Pete who had the courage to warn us about the jerk-off on ebay.

    Johnny,

I gave him plenty of chances to reply to my e-mails. If this post is pre-mature than I appolagize.

  15. I am sorry to hear that. I hope it is just a miscomunication. The guy has a lot of cool ****.I have been out bid by him quite a few times. I never bought anything from him. He even let me know somthing I was bidding on was not the correct part and was listed incorrectly. I think I am being ripped off right now on the HAMB sent the money order three weeks ago and no word from the seller(not the same guy. Some FNG). No parts either.

no need to apologize to me man, I'm just trying to keep everyone calm...I hate to see stuff get out of hand when it turns out to be a miscommunication or someone just being lazy...

Give him another week then see if a HAMBer lives near him or knows him who can contact him in person.
This is not the first post like this & i'm sure it won't be the last.
But usually e-bay will jump on these people.
You really should have checked his "track record" its horrible.

wow, I sure hope it's not the same guy...seems to have a lot of negatives...but then again, he's got a lot of transactions too...91.9% positive is still pretty damned good all things considered...

people who think 99.1 % on ebay is good are incorrect. it is the content of the feedbacks, along with the feedbacks he has given to others.

99.1 could be OK if you have only 101 feedbacks, but at 1733 it ****s.

I eBay alot of stuff and sell alot of stuff. If you print your labels on line (USPS) you get free tracking and delivery confirmation.

The best way to get results from a dead beat is to go through eBay.

One more thing, If you paid with PayPaL THEY CAN AND WILL PULL THE MONEY OUT OF AN ACCOUNT AND REFUND IT.

Sorta...but its not that easy. My GF bought me an ol bakelite repop phone off ebay, paid paypal, and somehow clicked 2x, thus sending payment twice. It was obviously just paid twice, same guy 1 second apart...you wouldnt believe the deal we had to go through to get it back. All but the FEDs knocking at his door over 70 measley dollars.

Paypal is really good for the buyer in situations like this, they will usually sieze the disputed amount from the seller's account when there is a dispute, and award it to whoever wins in the 'investigation'. The seller is supposed to provide an internet trackable shipping confirmation method in order to be covered by paypal, otherwise, the buyer wins the claim automatically.

With a money order, well, you can always file with the MO company, and may as well contact ebay and see if they can do anything.

The ones you have to watch are the sellers that sell stuff dirt cheap and do no post anything about shipping. I know alot of people that don't have a clue about the crooked sellers on eBay and win the auction just to find out they are paying for the item in shipping. One guy was selling Play Stations for $1.00 and charging $300.00 in shipping. It seems that eBay frowns on this because they don't get there cut on shipping.

Sorry for jumping on your post. Keith

Well, I see I'm getting raked over the coals pretty good here. Nothing like a good old lynching, I always say! If any of you happen to be interested in my side of it, here it is. I sent the carb adapter out U.S.P.S., since it was a small part and to save on shipping costs. I usually ship U.P.S., since they pick up where I work, and there is always a tracking number. Aparrently, the part never showed, and despite what Pete seems to think, there is NO SHIPPING NUMBER on a regular U.S.P.S. parcel post shipment that can be tracked. I certainly wasn't given one when I sent it out. The U.S.P.S. money order he sent me has never been cashed by me--and this is something he CAN check out, since every money order they sell has a tracking number. I'm out the part, and I did email him stating that I was going to just write it off as a loss and send his money order back to him. Now, I'll admit, the better part of a week went by without me getting around to sending it out, but again, it's not like I'm stealing his money--it is still uncashed. About the time I figured I'd better hunt it up and send it out, his negative feedback appeared in my summary, and I said fine---you'll get it back when I get around to sending it out. SO--anyone who is volunteering to be a hit man to "straighten me out" better pack his ****ing lunch before coming around. Seems to me that an awful lot of people are anxious to jump on the bandwagon whenever someone starts blatting about being ****ed over before both sides are heard from. To the couple of posters that behaved objectively on the subject, thanks for your consideration. By the way, I've never told anyone that I'm not the same Heathen on Ebay, so I don't know what part of his *** Pete pulled that one out of. Have a wonderful evening.

Not to excuse the dirtbags who overcharge on shipping, but I've weighed stuff on an electronic scale at work, measured it, and gone to USPS.com or UPS.com and fed in the info. Get a price and quote it to the buyer. Take it to the post office/UPS and I get a different (usually lower) rate. $16 sounds like a big difference tho.

  29. I mailed a package to the Netherlands and was charged $71 at my local postal servive [not post office] , when the guy at the other end got the package it only had $24 of postage on it so it,s not always the fault of the seller. I had a few choice words for the guy behind the counter when I went in and showed him paperwork from both ends.

I'll vouch for Heathen1960 and Heathen HAMB being the same guy, and not disputing it. Yes he is a very knowledgable dude. And has more than earned his keep with sharing his knowledge on the HAMB.
I still dont like him, but thats only cause we are always bidding against each other for the same **** on ePay. And its really not that I don't like the guy, its that there is somebody as sick as me out there bidding on the same "****" that gets me.
