My stepdad was Tommy Ivo's agent and had Tommy give me a ride in his "T" when was 13. It was quite a thrill for a young kid.
Our (Hemi-powered) Deuce 5wd Coupe spent its first nine years in its original paint or in black primer: 1954 - North Dakota As purchased (less its 4-banger engine) from original owner for $40 1955 - North Dakota Channeled (6" in front, 8+" in rear) 1957 - North Dakota Chopped 2.5" ... now in black primer 1958 - OKC, Oklahoma At the 4th Annual NHRA National Championship Drag Races 1963 - Fremont, California Me (age 2) "driving" NOTE: We moved to California in December of '62 ... but has been painted Cadillac "Mandan Red": ... ever since: late 1963 or early 1964 - Fremont, California Molded & bobbed Model A rear fenders, Hagemann aluminum hood, and "Mandan Red" lacquer by Art Billings NOTE: The color in this photograph has really deteriorated over the years ...
