Well work was tearin me up most of the summer so progress slowed to a crawl. Would have liked to be racing at Joplin , but that isn't going to happen. Still waiting on the body shop to finish the doors, deck, hood and fender's. Then they will hang all the sheet metal and shoot one last coat of satin clear over the whole car. All the plumbing is done ( still have to juice the brakes ) put a new gas tank back in the stock position and got started wiring, installed fuse block ( affordable wiring ) and the MSD Rev limiter box under passenger seat , MSD coil under dash and got both tach's wired. Need to install glass, headliner, and what's left of body trim that's going back on. The rest of interior will wait till winter Maybe have it at the Hunnert, I tell myself that's the new goal anyway ! Hey Todd553, 63 cadguy. and I know dragerrcr 50 always has something about done. How are you guys doin with yours. Throw up some progress pic's. Hoping we'll all be able to get together when there done for some Gasser Maddness. Gary
I hate gold...but I love the way it looks on your dash...that looks super...what'd those seats come out of?...I hope I make it to the Hunnert this year, I wanna check that thing out closer...
The seats are 66 T-Bird with the original upholstery. The rest of the interior will be sewn to match. I'm planning on dropping the back a little, I'm thinkin a 2" block. Gary
Very nice. You've obviously spent time getting all the details right. Tell us about the scoop/air cleaner-- It looks kinda like the one on the Greer/Black/Prudhomme digger. Is it home-made or?? Thanks.
From what I understand it is a replica of old drag boat stuff. Our very own Okiecockfighter here on the HAMB is poping them out of glass. and selling them here in the classifieds. Gary
man it looks better every time we see it, sure did want it to be at the drags, I am putting a motor in a 56 chevy sedan i bought just to go to the hamb drags since the vicky is a ways away yet, but ill be there looks like with it and make my first run in it at the hamb drags, hope it goes straight and stops for starters, see ya when you get it going,
Man I love that thing...Gassers are definitely my favorite. I'm still trying to figure out what to buy to someday make into a gasser.
Thanks, I'll still be at the drags, probably making a few passes in my roadster . Hope to see ya there. Gary
Hey Guys, thanks for all the input. Makes me feel pretty damn good knowing the kind of cars all of you build and drive. Hope to meet up with all of ya at the drags. Gary
