Hi all Here my pics of our trip to england, 1200 miles... Laurent with the blue roadster and billy with me in my coupe! we get stop by the french police, because we stop in the border of the freeway for 5 minutes...we pay our 22 euros tickets and continue the road trip to england.... Most of the trip we got rain! but The trip was good, the way back was more difficult, alcool, party....and more rain! 200 miles before arriving home, my rear left ladder bar decide to fall of, the 2 backing plate screw was missing! I'm going to open a other Post to show you how I drove back! ;-)

It was very cool to meet Hambers and other cool guys! thanks to the organisation anplease give us one more day next time!
Hi Pete, Great Videos. I saw you around but never got the chance to say hi. Hope it was all worth it to come over for the Hayride.
Well, the problem, it's a one day show! I think I would come again if the party start earlier and finish sunday night... then we can have more time for party and talking.... The way is too expensive foe a one day show...FUEL $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Hi Pete. It was good to meet up with you and the guys and chat on friday night. I'm still impressed you made the trip (hats off to you and the guys). Let us know how you get on when you stick the smaller pulley on the blower. Cheers Jim. (the other blown flatty).
Hey guys, Great photos, thanks for posting them. It is terrific to see you DRIVING...that makes any event worth going to... getting there and getting home. J.
Wow!!! Peter great pics and videos! I'm impressed you and Laurent drove till the show, I'm glad to know that everything was ok (except for the coupe problems). That makes me want to drive from Barcelona next year too I finally couldn't go anyway See you at the next one man. Jessy
Hey all, thanks for the replies...! JIM, I 'm working on the pulley! ;-) of course I let you know!, your set up works like hell! I know mine can't worck that much because of the original crank and rods...but I will try the best ! It was really cool to exchange our ideas about blown flaties! Way back problem: In fact my rear left ladder bar, fall down... because the 2 backing plates screws was missing, I think they are somewhere between brooksland and hashford...LOL So billy and I was thinkin at a solution, I had two smaller screws, put in the ladder bar holes, and put it in place to the backing plate, then screw a 1/2 key to help the ladder bar to stay in place.... Leave the bolt in the drums because I do not have my hub puller with me.. and pray , don't want the bolts in the middle of my brakes and scratch everything... after 200 miles like this, we were back home, safe, tired, but happy! here is a bad pic of the set up... (check closely, you can see to 1/2 keys....)
Awsome pics Pete! Nice to see that you drove your rod to England. Will we see you in Sweden soon?? How much is the train ride under(?) the channel?
Pete, yer doin' what should be done with any good Hot Rod. Drivin' Hell out it! Great pix, great weekend! Koops.....
Thanks for coming over Pete, your coupe was the car of the show for me!! Laurent's roadster isn't shy of being special either mind you!! Gotzy
Great pics Pete, and real nice rides you both have too, made sure i got a pic of them myself......big respect for driving all that way, thats' what its' all about! How was the eurotunnel,i've not tried it myself wondered if it would be ok getting on/off with a real low car? Take it easy
Thanks all! for the kind words! The tunnel cost around 300 euros! that's a lot of money! next time I go with the boat! And you can go with low car, no problem! Hey Klaus, I d'love to come in sweden, but it is 1000 kilometer farest.... I have to think about it, and talk to my bank! LOL
