It may well be a converted 4 door, but it's far from just having the back doors welded shut. The current doors are longer than the 4 door front doors (either they were stretched, or they were replaced with proper 2 door sedan doors) and the rear quarter windows are correct length and 1 piece (a welded shut rear door would still have a little triangular quarter window, or if that pillar was cut out, the window glass would be much too long.) This may have been accomplished with donor B pillars or possibly just pieced together using sections of the rear door tops and skins but hardly what I'd call "welded shut".

 

OK, didn't want to go into the details , but it was a 4 door, Didn't think it was necessary to state the obvious.
