Did you ever see the documentary on The Machines ( or Men ) That Built America ? There was a Camaro with a flathead mill...unreal...I think the pic was on the internet also.
Cruising Wilshire Blvd. (SoCal) back in the 50's. (With added sound). I seem to remember more rods and customs back then. California 1950s, Driving Wilshire Blvd in color [60fps, Remastered] w/added sound - YouTube
Revell has a model kit of the #47 Black Widow.... Very cool model kit with almost 200 parts... #87 is also pictured in the box art.....
Yer crazy...that's a cool coupe...bet it was easier and cheaper than a Wayne head! look at the rear I think its on a Ford frame too....and guys please stop with the flathead category/modern body race car descriptions....saw one in a fox body almost puked!
Thanks for the video and your a lucky guy! I too was very much influenced by the West Coast scene, RC and the other Petersen publications in the late 60s's. My very best friend at the time was a cool guy who grew up in Pleasanton in N.Cal. who was a bit like Milner in the film American Graffiti. Met him when I bought my first Corvette at 19 and he was driving a nice '62 HT but we both liked many other cool cars. Great guy from a real nice family.
