Spent the day today up at Latimore fairgrounds (place we have the Jalopy Showdown). They are have metalshaping seminars. I didn't expect much but it was really cool. The one guy has some prototype stuff that is really cool. It's going on tomorrow along with the vintage racing.

I don't think there is a cost for this. I'm guessing it will be going on most of the day. Not sure about Sunday.

There was a guy from Illinois there and a couple of others.

Tony ...not sure about next year...but it sounds promising. Not to mention trying to get some of these guys to come to Larry's show.

I learned tuck shrinking with a contraption this one guy makes. I'm gonna try making my own. He's only going to want $150 for this devise when he gets it done but I doubt he will have it on the market soon.

    Clark,

that looks like the one's i've seen, the lower die block looks different. By the way i finally got the s the hand shrink dies aligned, in the unpolished condition, i think they beat the hand shrink. So if your going to do allot you have the tool
to save you time and energy, why watse it on hammering save it for beer drinking! Kirk's tool is cool, if you didn't already have a hammer i'd say buy that.

took a 6" flat sheet turned it into a 4.5" bowl 2" deep, a tin hat for a pinhead.
it takes a little knowledge, but you can do it, if need some help on making dies
i can show you just about any kind, check out my albums on www.alshops.org
click on each pic for further info, most are have explainations. And if you have
any problems let me know, heck i've made most of the mistakes already!

    Take care!

Ya might wanna check out metalshapers.org from time to time. In the
past they have had metalshaping get-togethers on both coasts, the
Pacific Northwest, the Deep South and Texas!

    Larry,

Thinking about it, sure is closer than Pa, by 700 miles. what dates? time get over the **** that happened in the past. We sure had fun at EMMR!

    Gary,

That Kirk is a dandy, when he was giving his song and dance about his American wheel, i had the thought of jumping in and doing Barbara Billingsly's
character in Airplane, "i speak jive" Now that i have survided a weekend with him! now i know he would have laughed about it.
He is a neat guy and that sense of humour!!! we had many laughs!!! made the
4 days seeem like 2 at most.

    home and most unpacked

    Tony,

We have been invited to vintage racing meet at Louden, NH in spring. That maybe closer to you? We would be the featured group? Gotta get all the info and do the planing. Almost unloaded and have everything put away.
    damn this stuff is heavy!

    Terry,

MetalMeet will be from October 17th through the 24th, in Oblong Ill. They have the whole fairgrounds and it was a very good meet last year. Since last year they upgraded the power in a couple of the buildings, so we'll be able to weld and have air.
