Hello all. New to the site. Bought a 52 Plymouth Cranbrook a few months back, and found H.A.M.B. while web surfing.
Still trying to get some pics up, but I slow.
I picked up a 38 ford truck cab for a decent price, doors included. Ill be looking for any input or ideas for that cab, as soon as I get the 52 up to par.
Th 52 runs and drives, but sputters and seems to be starving for fuel at higher rpm. Driving up to 45 mph, it runs like a top(ish). I'm sure it needs a new carb or rebuild, or timing dialed in, but I've been skittish on messing with the timing. Don't know why, I grew up adjusting the timing on most of the vehicles I've owned. Guess I'm afraid I'll screw it up.
    I appreciate your time. Thanks IMG_9175.jpg 20210223_143426.jpg 20210223_143426.jpg IMG_9175.jpg 20210223_143426.jpg

Hi & welcome. Nice Plymouth. I have a 1950 Plymouth Deluxe sedan and it is a great driver & will run with the traffic quite well but I limit my speed to the 60 - 65 MPH range. Some sources for parts & literature that I have used are www.faxonautolit.com for originals or reprints of shop manuals, www.kanter.com and www.robertsmotorparts.com . I purchased a bunch from these after I purchased my Deluxe. Currently mine is stock with the exception of a 12 volt alternator and electric wipers. Not installed I have purchased an Offy dual intake manifold and am looking for a 1 bbl carb to match the original. It will not be raced so the 1 bbl's will do fine. Also purchased a set for cast iron headers from Kantor and will install when I do the intake. I have Coker bias look radials of both my 46 Chevy and the 50 Plymouth and recently needed new tires for my old Cadillac and found that Midas sells a custom line of the radials in bias style & purchased a set of 4 balanced, installed with road hazzard for less than $400 total. The ride great. Jimmie
