Well.............I can answer a couple of questions. Yes, this is powered by a 153 cu in Chevy II motor and the front has a dropped I beam and the rear was a 56 Ford under a Z'd frame.

Man, I feel like such a DUMB***! The light just went on!! This is a very famous car, in a not so famous guise. This is Lupe Serrato's famous tudor that was featured in Hot Rod in Nov. 64, but a year later after he switched the beanies for americans! 100%, the plate # matches. I was actually just looking at the Hot Rod feature, and suddenly I remembered this photo, and the for some reason, the light went on. DUH! Searched the HAMB, cross-checked the plate numbers, BINGO! I'll add a pic from the Hot Rod article to this post tomorrow. Amazing the difference a set of wheels can make.

    That 28 is beautiful

  9. @M.Edell that old Tudor is beautiful.

Mine is still in the works and it will be full fendered eventually. Probably never be that sweet.

But here is a sneak peek at the ugly old beasty as she sets today. Just for grins. :D

Please disregard the grizzled old codger in the photo, he drops by and thinks this is his digs. :confused:o_O:eek:

  11. I started a build thread on this Caddy powered '32 a while back. I need to update it soon as I'm getting close to blowing it back apart for paint. 20160621_132132.jpg

Apologies for the 3 year response...but I just found your question.
v5.0 (5th rebuild so far) was finished around 2002. She's a little tired by now, but I keep logging the miles. I appreciate the kind words...this car makes me smile every time I see it!
