last on the road in the sixties I was told, the owner p***ed away so his wife pushed it under a carport under a tarp. Then the carport collapsed under the wieght of some snow, and sat another ten years :( . Purchased by family friend and resold to me for some TLC

I found my great-grandpa's old '33 Chevy 5w out at his old homestead last fall. I was so frickin jacked, I've wanted a steel 5w coupe since I was a kid. My Dad thought I lost my brain when he saw this thing:

We had to literally dig it out of the ground, the running boards were about a foot below ground level (you can see the dirt line one the front fenders), but it was well drained Montana soil (dry county) and there is hardly any rust

The main body shell is actually in very good shape, only 1 bullet hole, hardly any rust at all on the shell. I don't want the fenders anyway...haha. I wanted a Ford, but I really like this chevy body style:

Thanks to the HAMB for such good inspiration, otherwise I might have made this thing into another "ZZ-top" billet *****....haha.

PS: I got in touch with my great-uncle who is still alive, he told me he drove this car in the early '40s then took it off the frame and set the body in the coulee in the late '40s or early '50s. We found the frame nearb y, it had been used as a goofy trailer setup but is in good shape.

Brother just found these yesterday on our 150 acre tract in N Texas we bought 10 yrs ago. We never really had a chance to go explore the property because of our deployments for the last 5 yrs but he's home and look what he finds.....

I went out today and helped a guy take a car out to store on one of his mate's property. My son and I counted 20 60-66 Falcons in one paddock, and in that 20 I think there would have been at least 8 to 10 utes in varying degrees of completeness. Unbelievable. In the next paddock there were another 5 under a clump of trees along with a late 30's Studebaker ute. Sorry no pics, don't own a digital camera.

I knew that this car would end up on here some day. I kick my *** everyday for posting the picture of this thing that sold it. If I would have known then what I know now it would be in my garage.

I grew up in Northern Maine, (real north). As a kid I had no serious interest or ability in these old *******s. I still know where some parts are in the old maine woods. Useless to me here in SoCal though 14 years later. Haha. As urban as the OC is I though I still have no trouble finding cool hardware. Fun thread.

Not real triditional, but it was what it was. Took about 4 years to go from first one to the last one. It was last seen in black primmer with flames. I sold it 9-10-01 and that guy sold it the next spring. Have no idea wher it is now, but in the 7 years we drove it we put 77,000 miles on it.
