Pretty rare car, shame it’s in that condition. The frame rails may not be horrible and they can be repaired if only rusted in spots, torsion bar mount too. If it’s shot then parting out is still a good option since parts are impossible to find, the convertible top frame, convertible rear windows, windshield frame and trim are desirable, so are the rear door panels since unique to convertible too. If the hood and trunk are good they will sell fast and any straight restorable trim will too. I would be interested in the 383 or 413 if it isn’t stuck.

The motors manual only shows the RB 383 for 2 years 1959 and 60, in 60 it shows both styles of 383s .

I am approaching it with the ***umption that the engine is stuck tight. I feel like a dummie as I hadn't even thought about the brakes(getting it drug on to a trailer).

It may be wishful thinking, but I'm betting the car could be bought for $300 to $400.

I would snap it up in a heartbeat for that price if it was remotely close to me.

That’s not even a drive where I am, I’m 2 hours to the nearest city. I would be in my truck in a second to get it!!:D

Ha! Thanks Jim I needed that!

I would happily buy some parts, the whole car is a little too far away for me to get.

It depends on what the price is. These are not desirable cars, but you'll be hard pressed to find an engine tougher than a big block mopar.

I will post the car/parts here if it ends up coming home with me. Personally, although I hate to cut up good parts, I think a person could cut the headlight portions out of the fenders and mold them into a grill shell for a pretty *****in early '30s hot rod

In all seriousness if you end up with it, let me know, I’ll buy some parts for sure.

Man, 300s are so cool... pretty much every generation of big Mopar before '72 gets my motor going. Not sure what it is about those cars but they just have the right at***ude. That thing doesn't look that bad... worth a look at least. Chrysler body tin always rots but the structural steel might be fine, I have seen some really rusty B-bodies with minty undercarriages.

Since the vehicle has been sitting for some time should indicated that it is not going anywhere soon. Try to find a buyer before you buy it or at least someone willing to buy some parts off of it.

Actually, it will be gone soon. The reason for the vehicles being left sitting was a previous owner who didn't seem to care about ever selling anything. Now the family is actively trying to clean up the property to settle the estate.

In that case, you might be able to get them to pay you $50 to tow it away

With that much of the top still in place I'm betting things may not be so bad underneath. Chrysler built these cars with some seriously thick metal in the structural areas. I have a 66 fury vert that the floors are gone, rust in the front fenders and the quarters but the rockers and everything that give it strength are damn near rust free.

Here you go. Make it hurt a little more for incentive

    Fair or rebuildable parts estimates---
    Bluetop tinted windshield................$ 500
    Front emblem and grill...................$ 500
    5 steel 14" rims.........................$ 200
    Hood.....................................$ 425
    TrunkLid.................................$ 275
Rag frame, pump & hydraulic cyls.........$2,000
    Radiator & heater core...................$ 800
    Buckets and rear bench...................$ 200
    Dash & instrument cluster................$ 100
    Four 1963 badges.........................$ 100
    Pair script emblems......................$ 100
And the list goes on.....................$ ????

Believe it or no,t there are hundreds of active 300 clubmembers who would pay handsomely for most of the rebuildable parts on that heap. Too bad if the parts all winds up in the crusher.
