I'm always amazed and impressed by Canada's participation in the ww2 war effort, when their population is less than that of California. Thank you Canada.

Canada has been a damned good U.S. (and world) neighbor forever!! They have stepped forward to help anywhere around the world whenever called upon. And... they've got good beer, too! If you want to know just how cool Canadians are, just watch "Strange Brew" and "Canadian Bacon", that'll learn ya. (as a side note: most people don't know that the Western Canadian Provinces almost became Americans at one time. Back when they were "Territories", the Canadian government didn't want to recognize them as having any need for political representation , so there was a movement to secede to the U.S.. Ottawa finally gave in and accepted them with full status. My apologies for any inaccuracies in my description, I don't remember all I was taught 60+ years ago.)
