I run open headers around town (most of the time.......we got cool cops & lotsa Harleys!) Rest of the time dual 'Blowmaster 40's ran TO THE REAR VALANCE and get NO drone on the highway.(on my M-word pony car;))
Best sounding 327 Shivel-lay I ever heard was my high skool buddy ran round truck mufflers with turn downs...on his 55.

I have a pair of good flowing 2-1/2" Borlas, H-pipe & 2FT of tailpipe out the right side. At first they were too quiet, but have gotten louder with age (maybe). With the offset tubes there's a perforated 'S' through it, a broom stick will slide through it.

Personally I ‘ve always been partial to hacked off mid year sidepipes, just the right amount of boom and wap! B84CCC0A-51CD-44C9-AAB3-E9341F03E0E8.jpeg B9F8EB7A-833B-406D-8254-2D44B2DDDA63.jpeg
