as anyone installed the new bear claw door latches from speedway motors on a 1940/48 ford pick up? advertised that you can use original outside door handle and key lock. Also
states you can use the remote inside door handle to open (pull), but you can not use the locking mechanism by pushing the handle forward. they suggest using electric door locks? Their tech folks were of no help. Gary

Sounds like they have knocked off the Altman Latches. I have them in my 53F100 and they work fine. I do have electric locks also.

yes, the manufacture is altman, so it looks like speedway has knocked them off, that is why the tech guy said he did not know the manufacture when I requested him to contact them to answer my question

I know this is an older thread but want to share a few things.

-I've just ordered a set of door latches from Altman for my 40 pickup project. On their Facebook page they routinely offer a 15% discount code. The current code is "F100TALK". I was considering ordering the Altman latch from Speedway to take advantage of free shipping but the 15% discount from Altman is is a better deal.

-Speedway does not sell a "Knock Off" of the Altman latch
