If those firewall shots are any indication, it's gonna' look stunning when it's finished!

Getting at it still , had to notch my trans crossmember for clearance. Without it my exhaust would be susceptible to road rash

She’s a runner now and one side of the exhaust is complete to the differential

Not a lot of progress but it is what it is . Needed a way to keep the fingers in tact . That fan spinning without anything around it is a serious safety issue . A shroud will help with cooling as well .

Annddd done , now moving on to throttle linkage as the off topic cable is to short to reach to the firewall . Thinking old school bell crank setup , we’ll see !!

Here’s a start , bell crank , throw rod to carb , stanchion that needed 90 degree redirect, will add more pics later . Gotta go for shot #2 . We all know what I am talking about . Get this behind us , geez!!!

Some progress for the devout followers to the end of’ say . Fitting in the TBird rear seats . Had a 7” void behind the seat backs that required the rear parcel shelf to extend . As you can see I created a floating console and a water fall armrest flowing from the rear parcel shelf . It’s a great grab point to lift yourself out of the back seat as well . It’s strong and sturdy . Will pull my 225 lbs out of there with no deflection . More progress to come , stay tuned !

Okay it’s been a while , here is what I am at now . Cutting down the window surrounds and touching up on some welding that was left undone on the door bottom when repaired a while back . First coat of etching primer applied . More to come . Slow and sure .

  29. IMG_3160.JPG IMG_3216.JPG IMG_3219.JPG IMG_3220.JPG

So, after the last comment above, of the doors in etch primer I was moving the passenger door around on the panel table , it got away from me , fell to the floor and bent the upper window frame backwards as it landed upside down on the front upper corner. I had to cut the door top off again and reset everything.
Unplanned weeks of work as I don’t get a lot of time out here .
Needless to say it was repaired, and I moved onto blocking the door to quarter panel and fine tuning . Was able to get the fender skirt mocked into place as well . I blocked at least a quarter of a gallon of filler off the side fine tuning with more to go .
Was able to start the final mock up of the rear bumper with a 1950 overider assembly. I like it a lot better . They need repairs but try and find ones that don’t up here in my neck of the woods!
    That’s it for now , later !
