My fist show car wS '65 Fairlane Sports Coupe, showed it at AAA show in Charlotte NC in 1981. Got 3rd in my cl***, I was 21. My didn't look that good.

Rolled my 1958 Chevrolet Yeoman 4 door station wagon into my shop 12 years ago on a Monday and rolled my 58 El Camino out on Friday. Other than getting it running I haven't done much but drive it. My 41 Business Coupe is more traditional and has an original Flathead and 3 speed. After I install a couple of patch panels it will get a nice black paint job.

 

Pretty cool ... such a major conversion probably takes the '58 out of the "Mild Custom" category.

 

My wife's '56 many years back... Ran a killer Y-block and 4-speed.

 

This one ran around Prattville Alabama for a while in the '90s.
