There's a story there -- probably 5 or 6 years' worth on my favorite custom ever. Every year (or quicker) it just got better -- not the fate of most customs of its era.

I guess it was one night in 1962 while I was thinking I was King **** cruising "E" Street in San Bernardino. Hell Yes! Red '29 roadster with six 97s, Halibrands, Cyclone quickie. Yeah!!! Until he came cruisin' up the street in the lavender version of this.

I met Ron Aguirre (sp?) in San Diego some 40 years later. What a hell of a nice guy!
