When we decided to drive back through some residential areas instead of the freeway, there are usually many surprises in this coastal city. One of them was this Maroon Model A coupe. It was sitting under an awning cover and getting some work done. The sun was around noon and the sky was slightly overcast, bringing out the color quite well. It has been a long time, but since we first saw this cool chopped Model A coupe, we have not seen it cruising around the So Cal area. But, it has been out and about in various places. Jnaki It is a true maroon color as the color palette describes: “Maroon is a dark, Brownish-Red color, duskier than Burgundy and not as powerful as the color Red. It can be created by mixing the colors Red and Violet/Blue, until the desired color is reached. The Maroon color is often used to represent intense and p***ionate things like: confidence, creative thoughts, excitement, power, risk, p***ion, love, ambition, courage, strength, warmth, and beauty.” A great photo taken by Jay Philippbar, at a recent So Cal car display day. This old song reminds me when I see another photo (if it is the same Model A coupe on a 400+mile round trip, away) The same Model A Coupe at the RPM Nationals at Santa Margarita 2021?
The color on mine is called Sumac Red. Needs a good cleaning. Tried some wax on a spot and the shine comes back. Lot of patina.
