The front of those trolleys had a 'man scoop'. It would actually scoop up a drunk off the tracks and stop the trolley. I worked around them [ the last three] in Portland. Newc
I remember seeing a "thrill show" there, but thought it may have been Chitwood. We went for quite a few years and could have seen both I guess.
On close examination the woman is using toggle switches to control the machine she is operating. Look at where she is looking, right at the work piece.
