Recently bought this 1937 Ford frame, but I can´t recognize the motor mounts, are they original or is it something someone mounted later on

This what a 37-40 should look like, with the exception of the CE bolt in mounts. IMG_2880.JPG

They are both riveted and "welded" on the top of the crossmember and they are moving the engine mounts both rearward and narrower

Could be the weird V8-60 mount extensions.

Since sending a picture is not an option here what I do when I buy parts ' Sight Unseen ' or ' Unknown ' is to Google search so in your case I would Google - ' images of factory stock original 1937 frame ch***is ' and many images do come up and some of these are from HAMB and also factory manuals . I do this on a home computer as it's clearer to zoom in on the part of the frame I need to restore . Hope you can do this I just did this to identify an unknown frame in Great Lakes area and I'm in California and was able to identify the frame as an original 28 Chevy national frame . You can ask a car club member in your area if you can take a peek at their original vehicle also they are a great source for original builds
