I modeled the car with 3D Studio Max, and rendered with V-Ray. All the shots are pure 3D, no photography or photoshopping, except to make some of the elements like the license plate and chevy emblem. The scallops were made in Corel Draw and Photoshop. Eventually I intend to do a short MPG movie of the car, as it rotates a full 360 on a platform.

Wow. I had to go back and look closer...almost didn't believe you! lol!!! I thought for sure it was only partially rendered.

That's just damned good work there man. I'm really impressed.

That is awesome work and you can really visulize what the car will look like. My 2cents on which scheme looks the best:

The Black with Blue and scallops, really hit home as does the fist version you posted - black and red. I love the scallops on the top of the rear fins. The gray version in your posts is the perfect shade if you want to sway from black. But as sinkemlow stated, your first thoughts are usually the best and in this case, true to form.

Great rendering. I'm gonna keep some of these color schemes for my Falcon.

holy crap... that's the best 3D rendering of a vehicle I've ever seen. I truly thought that was a photoshopped photo of a real car..... holy crap again.

that is some fine 3d work. I dig the black with red scallops myself....nice simple and clean. The only thing I would do (just my opinion) is scallop the hood and the front fenders (above the headlights) either way it looks pretty damn sweet to me.

Like everyone else has said, amazing modeling work!

As for which scheme, I really do like the black with red scallops. I wonder what the same scheme would look like with a creamy white replacing the black. Also, I love the wood bed. They should have come that way! And I love how the metallic blue really sets off the color of the wood.

My suggestion is you get rid of that car immediately. Ship it to Monroe County in Michigan. Get it completely out of your hands...

    and into mine!!!:D

Like everyone else, I think you nailed it as is. My opinion is the candy you stated vs flake. Flake is kool as a roof deal but I like what you did there big time. Scallops are a great addition to those cars.

(now it has a single lake pipe instead of the ugly triple!)

I like the look of a silvery blue scallop over black myself. Check out pics of Andy Southard's 58' Impala and that other dudes car with the skirts in his Custom Cars of the 1950's book...

Wow... that's a ridiculous rendering. Nice work! The first gold one with Skylark wires looks like it's straight off the pages of the Rodder's Journal.
