a very merry xmas to all and hopefully a fantastic new year.... and special thanks to jeff for maintaining a great site and hoping it stays for a long time. all the best from joe in oz
Right back at ya Joe! And I would also like to thank Jeff, have met a few people from here in person and are great folks. You stay warm, we are possibly getting snow here day after Christmas.
Merry Christmas everyone. I had Covid last Christmas and was looking forward to this one, but I took my youngest daughter in law to the emergency room Monday and she now has Covid. My son now has it and I am staying home since I was exposed and could be contagious, so it will be a virtual Christmas for us again. James
My son has it too. He should be off quarantine and will be tested tomorrow. I tested negative yesterday. The house is big enough so I haven't seen him since last week. I drop off food and drink on a tray outside his room. It is like a bad cold, he has no fever and is getting better. My girlfriend came over last night with a little Xmas tree on a stand and some lights. All the access to our Xmas stuff is through my sons's room. So the tree has 2 strings of lights from Ace Hardware and some ornaments we got at Montauk over the summer. And one Xmas ball from my tattoo artist. I have been taking a lot of vitamins over the past 20 months to bolster my immunity. It seems to be working, but I take little chances and don't go out to crowded areas too much. My oldest son may come over for breakfast tomorrow. Dinner plans are up in the air. The cats are excited about the tree.
Wishing all in the Group a very Merry Christmas and a much better New Year in the future, stay happy and healthy.
Given my age, I have also been staying on a regimen of supplements to keep immunity up since I had Covid last year. My son primarily has a really bad headache and fatigue, but my daughter in law has acute bronchitis, so we are praying it doesn't turn to pneumonia. They have three kids under 4 years old with the youngest still nursing, so they have some challenges while sick. I have been bringing food and feeding the livestock so they can stay inside.
Thanks, my son tested negative yesterday, he will take another today and that will dictate what the rest of the day will be like. I've been leaving him food (mostly Hot Pockets and burritos), water, Gatorade, his mail, medicines on a tray outside his room for a solid week, keeps me busy. He says he cleaned up his room out of boredom. He never had a fever, just aches and congestion, a head full of snot. If he tests negative, he will go back to work on Monday.
I may have had it in March of 2020, there were no tests at the time. I got better with z-pack, a steroid and rx cough syrup. I take daily along with my rx stuff: Vitamin C, D3, K2, zinc, B12, elderberry extract, olive tree leaf extract, g**** seed extract, NAC and probably a couple of others I forget. I'm using a collodial sliver nasal spray for a lingering sinus infection and Levaquin. I'm feeling better. Its good you are staying up with taking care of everyone, a lot of work for sure. I think this thing will burn itself out at this rate in another month.
