  2. Almost a year later from when I wrote this and I feel the exact same way.I see so many of these cars that I wish were built like this one.

  3. Quite A Lady!!!
Wish I had met her along the way... wonder why she was not married? Most men would have given their RIGHT arm for a gal like that! Especially car guys!! Was it her money? She had the in garage hobby like we did. Nowadays you people are lucky to have a Forum like Hamb to meet similar people in your lifetime! We did not! We toiled at nites alone in our garages wishin and dreamin! That WAS what it was all about! Mischelle!!! GREAT JOB!

I absolutely love Marcia's 42. Does anyone know what the blue color could have been? I would love to use it on my 35.

  5. OK, You NEED to talk to George!!! He is not that hard to get to see if you can get to LA.
George will tell you the things that make it real. What you are leaning towards learning.
    ex:
    1. Which girl in the 23 roadster?
    2. If she and Sam were kind-of involved... or George?
You NEED to see him and not be slow in doing this. No one lives forever.
We ALL had many romantic ordeals in our lives!!!!! Some really lasted. Some we got hurt (emotionally) but UNLIKE today we did NOT try to litigate for profit and we lived on to find another close encounter after years of solitude in recuperation. Living LIFE!
We all had interests that we really got into, or p***ions, and we strove to learn all we could about the subjects that interested us at THAT time and then we usually, not all, moved on.
We ALL become different with EACH different relationship that we have throughout our lives "a different person" sort-of. I know being a single fella most of my life. 8 heavy, almost married, relationships in mine with 3 marriages. With one I liked to eat liver, something I always detested, and will not eat it today or after that relationship!!!! But she was beautiful to me and she had a way of presenting the things she liked. She married a surgeon and had 4 children... she was an RN. Another relationship I learned to sail and bought a nice sail boat. She wanted to sail so I learned and we had 3 years of sailing. During which I sold all of my "FINISHED" cars to buy the sailboat. She married a lawyer and THEY bought a BIG boat. I learned from each relationship. Some I even sold practically all of my cars... 2x! They did not like me racing or spending ALL of my spare time working on show cars!!! After they were gone I had to start over again. It's ALL part of life. We all have stories to tell but we do not wear them on our sleeves. It is FUN to hear the truth about the "real people" who were in at the start of a fad
,something new, at that time. "The originators" we call it. And later, we learn, that history proves that they weren't THE ORIGINATORS of such as someone will find another person somewhere else who was innovative and kind-of into the same things, Maybe even in "another" country. I have found in doing a lot of research in my life thru books and now with the computer that something that seems "NEW" that God or, ? the TIMING, seems to bring these out in threes. I know that sounds crazy! But if you DO research keep that one in the back of your mind. That last statement has nothing to do with the subject of Ms Cambell.
Keep up your work. we all be reading it with interest I am sure.

  6. Corrections:
32 roadster not 23. My left hand is having a dyslectic day!

Thanks for bringing this thread back up.
Of the early customs, despite the front bumper being a bit heavy for my taste, I think Marcia's is my favorite of the 41 -48 Fords. Spot on proportions. :)

I would like to add my 2 cents worth .
My dad & family were really close friends with Dan Post.
Dan supplied me with a few parts for my first Model T
Dan & Marcia were really, really good friends !
Dan , my dad & Marcia formed the " Model T Ford Club Southern Calif " in
    the early 1950's . All three were " charter " members .
I was too young to remember much about her , but I do clearly remember her model T .
It was Kelly green with a cream colored ch***is . I remember seeing it at a lot of events when I was a young , it made quite an impression on me .
About 5 years ago a friend was selling a 1911 T for an estate . I went and looked at , turns out it was Marcia's , it hadn't changed a bit ! I was impressed at what a high quality restoration it had
& that it had survived all those years and still showed very well .
The car is now back east & is being enjoyed , with it nearly 70 year old Kelly green paint !
