Where is everyone getting their radial white walls? For my caddy I plan on stick with steel belted.

try www.coker.com or http://dbtires.com/index.htm there is also an awesome post on how to grind your skinny whites, to wide whites in the tech section. or you could try calling old tire shops and see if they have a tire grinder. i found one in fresno, but thats not close to you, hah, and sadly the machine was not for sale!!!! good luck on your tire hunt. -josh

Yeah, if you're gonna buy new tires, get Cokers, the owner of the company is a HAMBer and a real car guy, plus they support the HAMB like no other. I raced with them on the Great Race, cool people.

If you're looking for the ultra cheap method, check out the tire grinding tech or try using Krylon Fusion to paint them on.

Bias tires have that certain look that makes or breaks an open wheeled hotrod, but for your big Cadillac, I don't blame you for wanting the smooth ride of radial tires.

I have Coker radial www's for my Cadillac.

For anything but very heavy cars I prefer running traditional bias plys, but with a car that has the size / weight of a Cadillac (especially in California- where the roads are fucked up) bias tires are pretty much all over the place on the highway, following grooves, etc.

I'd go radials and i'd definately buy from Coker w/ your Alliance discount.

There's a place here called Sid's that cuts wide whites outta' narrows. He normaly charges $20.00 a tire, but I'm buds with him so I get them done for $10.00 each. Same day ,usually while I wait. Done about 15 or 20 sets so far. Widths range from 2 1/2" to almost 5" on some tires!! If you sent me tires I can get them done. AL

cokers are excellent. Performance Plus is at Long Beach and they sold me some BFGoodrich Silvertons but for my next purchase, It would have to be the whitewallcandystore. I believe they have tire sizes that are not available in Cokers or BFGoodrich wide whites. For instance they have 205/60/15's that I wish I would have got, approx. 3/4 inch lower than my 205/75/15's I got. Oh well next time I know. Just passing the info if ride height is a concern. check them out at I believe whitewallcandystore.com

I got mine for my 30 coupe from whitewallsplus.com
http://www.whitewallsplus.com/index.htm He's out of Sherwood Or. just south of Portland. Really helpful guy, and damn good looking tires. He's a Coker dealer, so I got BFG silvertowns.

I'm going to have to say diamondback. When I bought them about a year ago alot of hambers really liked them. They were very friendly and seemed really interested in what I was building. It's cool when they ask YOU about the car your working on. Not to mention they were over $100 less than the same size tires from coker at the time.

I put about 2000 miles on mine. I recommended them to my boss who put a set on his '50 packard who drove cross country and back with them, then he put a set on his 61 bird.
