Will bring this up to date with whats been done so far , with some photos and stuff ,

True to the sellers word he throw a copy of boxes in the cab that came with the truck when he got it in 2011 ,

I went trough them just before i left tonight and am so happy with what i found
    [IMG]
These emblems weren't in any of the photos i had of the truck before i brought it and have been trying to find a set for sale to no avail.

    [IMG] [IMG]

Gave the cab a good clean today and cut back the original paint and brought it back to life a bit and gave it a coat of wax,

painted the bonnet badge, found a kool label on the back of the seat from the garage it was sold from , just up the road from where my 240z is from funnily,
free'd up all the window and lock mech's also the front fresh air flap in the scuttle ,

A bit more water jet cutting and CAD to mock up the rear 4 link , may notch the ch***is to go lower or Z it , may not , think its low enough for me , bags should give around 8" lift ,

Any advise or idea's gladly taken , I'm in the UK so not to many COE builds over here ,

Think that's up to date now , working on airbag mounts for the rear now , then can finish of the CAD for the fron arms and stuff

    Cheers

    Gary

Nice job! Just wondering, will you have to swap the steering to the other side?

I don't need to convert to RHD in the UK , some people do though ,but it has never bothered me being LHD,

here's the bed I fab'd up on the back, sort of a 53-55 F100 bed but scaled up to suit the size of the truck and should be just big enough to carry my car to, some side lockers in there to hide the air tank and room for tools and stuff

also made up an exhaust with a cut out and a handbrake mech coz didn't have one

here's some up to date pic's
    [IMG]
got my old home made bender out and starting making a canvas tilt for the back

got some old army Bedford RL truck canvas , doesn't fit to bad ,

Also the Bentley Turbo engine has been refusing to run properly so got a Ozzie 351C and C4 to go through and stick in as a last resort so i can get it out and use it this summer

Ozzie 351? From Australia? That must have been one helluva shipping price tag.

Great to see the progress! Bentley or Ford, I'm sure you'll be driving it this year.

Thanks I hope so. the truck is nearly there now , but its only the engine that's holding it back really,

The 351C was already here in the UK lucky enough from a Falcon XE the got broke from rust a few years ago, Got offered it and thought it would be a bit deferent, its got the Ozzie 2V quench heads to

Been a while since I update this so here's a few photos from the Annual Pendine Sands VHRA Hotrod event a few weekends ago,

Ended up changing out the front clip to a P30 one as was unhappy with the steering lock and found one over here for decent price, engine is all run it now and feels strong, even took it to GoodWood motor circuit for RetroRides show last month,

Trucks now done 1750 miles & It's great fun driving it around, A few more jobs to do but gonna save them until winter and just run it about for Summer and enjoy it, Might change the diff ratio to get the RPM down on the motorway but apart from that is going alright so far
