A while back there was some controversy about a car with some kind of mysterious adjustable suspension that looked like it had about 40 degrees of caster when parked because the wheels flopped over. Ther was much discussion pro and con; thinking back I suddenly had an idea. Anybody remember the thread?
Can't tell you how to find the thread, it was brought up in an unrelated thread, but it belongs to my friend and club brother Rickey and is a unique vehicle. What do you need to know?
I'm kicking around adjustable quarter eliptic ideas. Post some pics and details if they aren't secret.
He used electric screw jacks and wedges hidden in the frame. Works very well. Handles very well. I have driven many miles behind and in front of him @ 70+. Raises & lowers the frontend well. Back springs are fixed. Rides good as well, in spite of how it looks, built that way on purpose, it is a very safe vehicle. He is one of the most talented machinist/welders I have ever met, I would kill to have his skills and imagination. We are headed out to the HAMB drags tonight but PM me if you need more info and I will try to help but will be next week before you get an answer.
I ***ume that the wild caster is only there when it's parked, and he jacks it up and gets the caster back to somewhat normal before driving?
