Paging feature

Is it still available? Normally it’s red and alerts someone that they have been mentioned.

Worked fine, once I figgered out "Lloyd" needs two "L"s. I think one oughtta be sufficient.

Nuts? Well, I’ve never seen you at any of the meetings and I’ve been to all of them, so I think your safe.
You might have something concerning the apostrophe.

Update: it is the apostrophe, when I type it looks normal. When I post it changes. Well that was a quick trip to lunatic fringe. I’m feeling much better now. As Roseanna Roseannadanna once said” never mind”

 

On a smart phone when you start to type in a name with the @ symbol it automagically pops up different names, and you can select from that. Maybe that highlights in red, I dunno.

I think it has to be in the initial post, can't edit somebody's name and get it to ping that way, I don't believe. But I dunno. I never could even master the Etch-a-Sketch, computers are a bridge too far

Are you getting the pop up with the names and then selecting the name from that pop-up?

 

I was too slow....and a drop down would be more appropriate than pop-up

@wraymen , your apostrophe is more like a high comma. I don't know how you are doing it. Maybe it's a font style thing. When you reply to this, click on the 6th box from the left at the top of the reply page, and set your font to Times New Roman.

 

It’s my only choice ‘ ‘ ‘ ‘ they look OK until I post. The only two people I know with a symbol in their name are Lloyd and Prince. So I don’t run into it too often.

 

Have a look at the bit I added to my post above. I am set to Times New Roman and it works fine if I type Lloyd's name in manually.

 

You could reach out to '28phonebooth to check if it is the apostrophe. He seems like a good guy and probably wouldn't mind.

 

Or, we could just all keep trying Lloyd.....................
