I am new to the Cl***ic car world. I love Ford. 33 yrs old. Started at 13. Honda Master technician at 19. Subaru and Toyota came after. I have spent the past 18 months as an apprentice to a 78 year old engine machinist. He has been doing flathead engines for 50+ years. I am slowly acquiring the knowledge and experience required to start my own shop. Thank you to the White haired men for continuing to support us young and dumbs. A lot of us are worth it. I appreciate this resource and historical do***entation.
Hey thank you! My grandfather and father were born in Springfield. Beautiful area. How is the hotrod scene up there? I have always considered moving back. My grandfather's 1949 2 door was there at some point in time. I have dreams of grandeur to find it in pristine shape one day.
Welcome. My dad was a machinist and had a sign hanging next to his Bridgeport that said "Experience is that which makes an old journeyman know almost as much as an apprentice thinks he knows." lol... So yeah, experienced guys willing to share are awesome in my book.
