Sold!! Up for sale is an essentially complete 1939 Ford toploader 3 speed transmission that has been dis***embled and cleaned for inspection, and set aside to be used by me in my next project. That project isn't happening so I'm selling off all the cherry parts I set aside including this transmission. The case is a 78-7006 case and is in great shape. No cracks or repairs and the thrust surfaces are excellent as seen in the pictures. I also have a front bearing retainer for this transmission as pictured. The internals are also in amazing shape. I'm selling everything seen in the pictures including the main shaft (6 splines, 16 teeth, 6 splines), cluster gear (28-24-18-14), input shaft (10 spline 16 teeth), 1st gear (29teeth) second gear (22 teeth), reverse idler (18 teeth), and both shafts. The cones and synchronizer teeth on the second gear and input shaft are in excellent shape. I also have the later style synchronizer slider that uses the keys and large clips. All parts are in amazing shape as seen in the picture. Lastly, there is the double detent shifter housing (81A-7222) with the three inch fork (91A-7230). The housing and all the internal parts are in great shape. The shifter fork still has plenty of wear area as seen in the pictures. I also have Mac Van Pelt's book on rebuilding and working on these early Ford transmissions that I will include if all parts are bought together. It is all you need to put this thing back together and get it on the road! You can buy the whole lot for $600 or I will sell parts separately as follows: Case/Front Bearing retainer - $175 Internal parts (gears, shafts, etc.) - $350 Shifter housing including all shifter parts - $175 I'll ship any and all of this on the buyer's dime. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
