I have seen a Ford two door convertible ( with radio and original drive train ) that does NOT have roll up windows, rather clip on side curtains. What was this model called and how many were produced?

Are the windshield posts fixed or removable?

A roadster. Roadsters had removable windshields and no windows in the doors, Cabriolets had a fixed windshield and roll up windows. Roadsters were going out of favor in the mid 30's, I believe the last Ford roadster was made in 37 or 38, maybe longer in Australia. I know GM roadsters and phaetons were made in Australia long past when they stopped in the US.

No, you misread the post. It means that some 1935 model Roadsters were built in 34, 35 and 36, so the correct number is 4,896. 4,008 is the number built in the calendar year of 1935.
