Yep, thats Oz's Graham Withers top fueler circa 1966/67.......wish I'd seen that pic when I was building the 1/25th scale model of his car....front on pics showing any crank driven Scott Fuel Pump are rare...lol..........here the model I made...........andyd
Here's a picture of Dale Moody with his '38 Chevy that was running a 283 at this time. He would join up with Sam and Mack Jones and be part of the Moody & Jones C/GS '37 Chevy about 2 years after this photo. They would go on to a pretty succesful run in the early '60's at the US Nationals and Cordova World Series of Drag Racing.
Jim, it's hard to believe what cars sold for in the later 50's- early 60's. My Brother bought a beautiful 38 Chev coupe in 1958, for $27.50. He spent the big money for this 40 coupe in 1960, $50 bucks.
I paid $65 for my ‘40 Deluxe coupe in 1965. I sold it a couple years later for a whopping $225 all gussied up and painted. Ooh, that hurts…..
