I joined the HAMB back in 2011 and wanted to buy and build a '50 Shoebox. I still do, but... Things happen, people leave your life and sometimes all too suddenly. My friend Justin Burns left this world in 2013 and after several years of voicing my interest, I was able to buy his 1937 Dodge Brothers pickup that had been wrecked and then partially repaired from his family. Fast forward to today, divorced and after a few years of being a nomad - I live in the Pacific Northwest. Finally ready to start tearing into the '37 to make it everything it always was and more. Can't believe I remembered my login for here.
Welcome back. I had never seen a 37 Dodge truck; cool truck. I'm looking at pictures and I'm not seeing ones with the parts that are on the front fenders. Are those stock? Are they turn signals?
They were horn covers. They will be housings for my running lights and turn signals though! And to my knowledge they might be original to a sedan but I don’t think so. These are sedan fenders swapped in.
I found two street rod 37 Dodges with them during a quick image search, but I'm not seeing them on stockers. https://www.mecum.com/lots/CA0812-133960/1937-dodge-humpback-sedan-delivery/ https://classiccars.com/listings/vi...dow-coupe-for-sale-in-o-fallon-illinois-62269
Hey man, sorry about your buddy, that sting never really goes away, but owning his truck is pretty damn awesome. That's a cool piece. Welcome to the HAMB
