if you're still seeking advice on the paint, you know where to find us...

I try not to think about what inflation is doing to my moth-balled projects. Afraid I'll be forced to cobble my rides back together via salvaged moderns. "now how do I reshape this headliner...?"

No paint demo for me today... They had trouble with my paint color numbers from the paint store on their system... They'll have samples from the paint store tomorrow... (I might be able to hang on until then...)

My 18 y/o got it last Friday after swapping spit with his gf last Monday. So far the rest of us held steady - nobody else sampled the sweetheart's spit so I think we're good...
My dad had an excavator held up in mechanic limbo as their shop got walloped back in Dec. Evidently that owner had a close call with it. Glad your body shop guys are bouncing back!

...amazingly enough the niece was swapping spit with her bf that had it and didn't get it... Also neither she nor my wife have tested positive while I've had it although we've kept our distance...

The sample colors are in! I tried really hard to like the lighter, non-metallic blue as it gives more more of a 40s, commercial vibe but I really like the darker metallic and so does everyone else including the wife. No questions at all on the white, I think it really works..

....I also decided on just doing 2 colors... the body line will be white from tip to tail...

More waffling... this time it's the windshield frame... I've had the gl*** removed. I had planned to have the frames powdercoated black but delays at the powder coater made me think about a Plan B. Maybe paint it white to match that area of the truck.. So I began cleaning it up and removing the black adhesive left by the gl*** guy... If I paint it white, i think I'll end up with white cowl, black WS seal/gasket, white metal ws frame, some black sealant and then the gl***... I think it will likely look hokey therefore I'm going back to plan A. They will not be ready for the parts until I return March 1st... ws_fame.jpg

They did and they worked really fawkin hard.... There are a couple very minor flaws but nothing that I will lose sleep over and probably can be fixed during cut and buff....
