Godzilla (pops) and I started this project 4 months ago working on weekends. This is how far we've come. I'm putting a 350-350 in it, (because it is cheap and easy for me to maintain.) Chopping the top 5 inches. Hope you likes.
At a boy, that is shaping up nicely. I see you scrouged up some doors. Can't wait to see it chopped!!
Slow day at work so I thought i would chop it for you. Can't be sure if it's 5 inches though. I would need some markers on it.
I was gonna suggest NOT chopping it, but after seeing shook's photochop, I hope you do. That is gonna look freakin' sweet! Good Luck!
Yea...thats what I'm talk'n about. I think the fenderwell headers will work out fine too...judging from the amount of space between the tire and firewall. Let me know when I need to bring the hacksaw over and we will lower the lid...just need to make sure you got enough headroom to bouce down these Oklahoma streets and highways. I think we need to build an intake for it...something with a little elevation...how about a blower and a pair carbs on top? Screw that...lets put the BBC in with a tunnel ram...and put the 350 in the Nova.
Well dad that's what I had up my sleeve to talk to you about last weeked but i chickend out. I think it would look ****ing SWEET with my nova engine with a 2x4 set up. Not really traditional rod, but cool any way. And thanks SHOOK for chopping it for me. I need to learn how to do that. I getting serious wood here lookin at it. I've been really down lately. Trying to make some progress. But seeing it like this is ****** for the soul.
I'm working on mine now. Here's 5" for real. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=127505 Let me know if you'd like me to warn you about anything I would do different. What grille is that?
son of "G" check with dragrcr50 he just bought a 36 already chopped, I think in Mokan this weekend...
Inspired me to Photochop-n-drop my 36. I don't have the guts at the moment to chop mine for real. When chopping these from what I understand the front windows turn out much smaller than you think they will turn out. Make sure that when chopping you are considering the windshield frame in the equation. With Shooks example you would wind up with about 4in. of window in the middle. Good luck with the chop. BR
son of "G" I've been hereing about this truck at Jamie's for the last couple of months, it's great to finally see it. The wheels and tires are way kool.
Hey Cam, I am going to mokan with the 56 but the 36 chevy pickup i have on ebay is behind the shop if you want to look at the chop on it and the suicide doors as well.......later, oh and man that is looking great, I am impressed, just dont let the old man too close too it , hehe
No sweat. I've gotta contribute around here somehow. Although judging by scottybaccus' pics it looks like i took out more than 5".
