Talking to some local old timer hot-rodders today today I met a guy who said he had an all steel 32 he was looking to sell said it was nearly finished but I don't have any details at the moment. I'm inclined to believe him judging by some of the other cars around. I was wondering what you guys thought would make a Model B worth a price in the 30k range? He's going to get me some pictures and I told him I might put it on the internet for him. Thanks, Primo
I know its the hot rod holy grail what I'm asking is in what shape is a 32 ford considered to be worth 30k or so. I don't want to put this guys car up here for that much if its not worth it. Primo
Two words for you- Parts and Labor..... the combination of parts used[build style etc] and the labor to build a 32 IFYOU HAD ONE would be more than that. You can probably buy SOME 32 for that figure but that is definitely not the topside of 32 Value in the marketplace...I see lots of them for much more than that......LOTS....
Just the basics,...... Body style, condition, what comes with it, how complete is it ?,...... asking what a 32 Ford is worth, is like asking "How long is a piece of string ?"
I'll try and get some pictures tommorrow. I'm not sure if I remember correctly but I think he said it was a 5-window. Primo
Yeah I'm not a huge fan of them. I don't think he got the reaction he wanted out of me when he told me about it but I said I would see if I could help him out.
Well, If he used new high end parts throughout... Body $10K Rolling Ch***is $7.5K Interior $3K Paint $7K Electrical $1K Engine $3K to $10K Trans $2K Wheels and Tires $2.5K Gl***? Cooling? A/C? Labor? Looks like an easy $30K to me....
Is it a Model B or a Model 18? A 32 Ford with a 4 cylinder is a Model B, while the V-8 was introduced as the Model 18.
What would make a 32 Ford worth 30K ?,......... The same thing that made a friend of mine turn down more than twice that price for this all "Tin" Deuce Vicky, not exactly what you are all use to seeing on here, but a really nice car. ( the guy is still trying to work out a deal with Bill )
WOW that vicky is sweet !! As for the 30k don't know till you see the car or style 3W,5W roadster, cabriolet ??? But a vicky YAHOO
Being a 32 pretty much these days will make it 30k but with labor rates and parts you wil get there real quick
I have always been good at math, so I was able to come up with the answer to this one. It is the exact distance from one end to the other, and that holds true whether it is metric or american. As to the 32 question, any 32 body style would bring 30K, if it were totally rust free, relatively dentless, and complete. Us antique former Detroiters have always been good at ciphering.
It's also twice as long as it is from the center to either end,....... As for the Vicky, here's another shot,
Just a quick photo tip - that would be a dialed picture if the wheels were turned to the right, just until the face of the wheel was parallel with the camera. Awesome car. To me that is trad enough....radials and americans ar fine by me....
A friend of mine wants 35k firm for this, I think he's got it sold. I think it's a good price. It's in really decent shape, some cracks and pinholes, but mostly solid metal to build on. All original, running '33 21 stud motor. He drove it out of the garage so I could take some pics.
As soon as guys learn the concept of "Supply and Demand" and then learn that the supply is not getting any larger... they'll understand that, at the moment, this old tin is CHEAP... even at 30K. Put a 35k '32 Ford next to a 35k SUV... and then tell me which one is the better value/investment/fun per dollar car. sam.
what ****s is when theyre gone, all the 28-31 a's are gonna go crazy next!! thanks boyd id better get a coupe before it's to late
Not to mention a RPU or even a Sport Coupe both are very Low & Rare Production....recently had a friend find a 32 Sport Coupe and he paid 10K in a heart beat!....does it really matter what body style it is if it's all there? Good Luck you might find the Ride of your Dreams!
