I am thinking that this photo has been “colorized”. The Futura was a shade of white, almost like pearl.
Here are a couple of photos of the Futura when it was on the factory promotional tour back in the mid 50’s. These pictures were taken at the Lincoln Mercury dealership my father and his family operated. The third picture is my father standing next to the Futura.
