54 Lincoln Capri newbie

I posted on a few different forums on here, having difficulty finding them. Anyways, I'm picking up a 54 Lincoln Capri tomorrow. It has ac in the trunk, I believe it is after market, early after market since the cold air will come out of the plastic tubes and into the p***enger compartment, not into ductwork in the headliner and out vents.
There is no carb on the engine so I'll be looking for one, either original or something newer.
The car is 98% complete, just carb and radio missing. All brightwork is there and looks pretty good considering it was parked since 65. Paint and interior are shot but body and what I could see of the frame, were very good. I ordered a service manual to help me identify everything.
I'm sure I'll be looking for advice on here. If there is a specific forum I should go to that is best, I'd appreciate it. Thanks
