Looking to buy air cleaners for a 3 deuce (94) for an upcoming swap. Been shopping around (online) and some of them look cheesy and cheap. Any ideas on brands or vendors would help. Even share some outside the box ideas. Thanks. I would hate to have some pieces of **** get swallowed up or end up in my fan……

those cheap universal mini chrome filters are very restrictive .

There was just a thread here about the small filters, particularly the helmets and little louvered ones being too restrictive. Be worth a search and a read before you reach for your wallet.

Use a filter from a Datsun 240Z. Make your own top and bottom plates.

Repops. Available several places. These(Thickstun) are only from one seller that I know of: https://www.ebay.com/itm/144387129839?hash=item219e24c1ef:g:aloAAOSwd01dKAbi
He doesn't show my type now but he has them. Didn't have three of them when I got mine....but got them together for me in short order. He's a hellavu nice guy and communication was great. At the time they were 90 bucks apiece...think they are a hundred now. Quality pieces.

No matter what you pick, use K&N filters.

After poking around K&N site, loading about 300 pics, I found the “search by dimension” feature….go figure.

  20. That is Saltflatmatt, he used to post here a lot. Great to deal with.

Yeah, how ever I go, I’ll probably swap out the element with K&N product. I’ve have a fear of some cheap shiny air cleaner coming off an landing in my fan, or some screw getting ****ed into my new motor

Pretty simple option from OTB Gear. As others have said, some of the small air cleaners can be a real air restriction. Others use a single system covering all three carbs to get a better air cleaner area.

    These work for me.
