I have a 33 sedan I am working on. It has fiber gl*** rear fenders. I am wanting to put some wider rear fenders so I can run a 12 wide tire. I’m just curious if the 33 rear fenders are supposed to have the peak in them to be correct also or if it’s just the fronts?
33 rear fenders have no birdsbeak , they bolt on the face of the wheel well , 34 s bolt on around the lip. 33 fenders are the only year of fenders (front and rear ) that will fit the car . 33 master fenders will have a half moon cut in the top rear , standard fenders will not have the half moon .
Just a way of the factory to identify them as ,master car fenders ? , standard car fenders dont have the half moon . Every 33 master fender I have seen has this half moon
Just an opinion, use any fenders that fit, the car is not a resto. Are there many set of 33 chevy fenders in decent shape for sale?
Yes ,they are a hard fender to find !!! And expensive when you do. Likely easier to widen the fibergl*** fenders he has .
They may make wider fenders in gl***. If he has stock width it might be easier to buy new wider fenders
Speedway makes a wider gl*** fender. That is what I am going to do for now with a narrowed 9”. I had just thought about gl***ing the point in it if it was supposed to be there. thank you for the info everyone
