Where'd you get that vertical chrome strip at the back of the door?

(You know they make transparent (translucent?) ones now.)

 

The Buick Riviera is one of the cl***iest cars to come out the 60's!

 

Is this a new addition @corncobcoupe? If so congratulations...it's a beauty...

They put the Headlights behind those side grilles on the fender on later Rivs or was that a Custom thing?

With this being I suspect an earlier Riv were those fwd fender grilles running lights or air intakes or just solid non functioning diecast details

 

Cob were the Clamshells solid details without function in 63/4...those are things they could have offered as upgrades
depending on options at the time...vents for Ram Air...maybe they're already vents...

That's a very nice example of a 64 Riviera. Is it 401 or 425 and does it have the Buick alloy valve covers or did they only come on the GS models or the later years? Ryan had a nice Riviera a few years ago but did not keep it long??
Did the Buick Riviera and Olds Toronado share body shells?

 

That feature was exploited about 30 yrs ago, in a movie called "Road House" with Patrick Swayze.

Toronado bodies wore different lines. They looked bulkier not as kool.

Do you have a problem with where the guages are mounted with your fat legs. Good. So now I will have some company when I attend the lowrider shows in Des Moines. Progress on your Continental ? Did somebody just cover over the seats that are in the car. Seats aren`t factory. But might be more comfortable.

 

Easily one of the best looking cars of the early 60's. Sweet!

 

Custom by Buick! I still remember the first one I saw (Rose Mist) and interior doesn't disappoint, either. Elegant!

 

To me, that is the FINEST Buick ever built. Nuff said ......

I'm no rim guru...they look at a minimum if new, inspired by Hamb period 5 spokes...and further to that may be in fact period correct originals or replicas...

 

The big wheels. Don’t get me wrong I think they look great but I remember a post not that long ago in the suggestion section about OT wheels. It just struck me as kind of funny.

Well…..hell yes!
They do look bigger than some of the ones that were deleted. I guess the tire diameter to wheel size equation has been busted. I’m good with all of them.
