I got a toll bill from New York. My name and address but not my plate number. I have never been on a NY toll road and it has been 3 1/2 years since I was ever in NY, and never again. A pic was on the bill, it was the back end of an Amazon semi trailer! I couldn't find a way to call a human so I sent a letter with the bill explaining. couple months later another bill with more charges tacked on. I called to auto pay number and said Representative loudly and got sent to leave a message and we will call you back. 3 hours later someone actually called me. I explained to her the situation, she said, Oh my goodness, hang on, I'll be right back. She came back on and apologized and said it is taken care of. No problem since. I've never had a CDL or been a truck driver. Another way Amazon makes money??

  2. I live in the great state of Indiana, I asked around and there’s no one that wants you, unless you want to hang out in the shop for a beer or two. That would be cool.

And always let them know you have a concealed weapons permit and there's a gun in the jockey box. They don't care for surprises. I sure wouldn't want their job.

Sooo your telling me Indiana does want me now? Far out. Next time I'm out that way jumping tolls in my 41 PU I'll stop in for a cold one.

As long as he washes his hands and goes through the right end to access my teeth. Reminds me of a joke I heard once during an anal exam about a proctologist bragging to a car guy that he had rebuilt the engine in his car. The guy said "I do it all the time". Dr. Bad Finger replied, "through the tailpipe? "

Yep, and his grandfather went through the Cumberland Gap with Daniel Boone.

Being a northwestener I know a lot about urban camping and micro beer but little about the history of the country that made life on the left coast possible. I had to resort to google as I thought Cumberland Road was just song lyrics about the location of a church, to find that it was the nation's first highway running from Cumberland, Maryland to St Loius. Built with federal funds by order of President Thomas Jefferson. BUT NO TOLL INVOICES!

I had to pay an Atlanta Airport parking ticket 15 years ago. At the time I had not been to Atlanta in 10 years. Somebody used a vintage vehicle tag off a truck or car I had sold many, many years before. Then Alabama law was tag goes with vehicle. They have since changed that.
I could of beat it in court I guess but who wants to go to Atlanta on purpose? The best thing that happened to Atlanta is Sherman burnt it down.
I paid because I did not want to be a wanted Man...

Ouch! I thought about paying the 20 bucks but doing so sets a precedent and legally admits I did something I didn't do. A month from now when they use that plate during a drive by in Chicago (likely), I don't want a knock on my door from the man. Great Johnny Cash song @F-ONE

Was I guilty of knock, knock, knocking on Dylan’s turf?

I'm out putting another fifth of primer on the PU. Maybe it's time for new filters in the respirator.

  20. One of my favorites, a great winding down and traveling song. Many people recorded it but Arlo Guthrie did it best. Tragic that Steve Goodman died so young. I believe Goodman was born in Chicago.

You guys like Bob Segar? I guess I blew thru 3 tolls in Denver a few months back. I was there so they had me dead to rights.

    I just remembered.
A few years back, I got a notification... I believe it was an email... that I had an unpaid ticket in New York.
I assumed it was a scam.
It pissed me off a bit, and I sent them an unfriendly note back that I've never been to New York and if they bother me again, we'll have trouble.
I never heard back from them.
