Has anyone used Vintage Gl*** USA for their gl***? They are in Connecticut. I'm considering buying a set from them for my 27 Coupe. I don't know of a good gl*** shop in the SoCal area. No one is answering their phones probably due to the covid thing being short staffed and all.
About 10 years ago they cut the gl*** for my chopped 49 coupe, I sent templates for the rear side gl*** and windwings and told them to just use the standard door gl*** but three inches shorter for the doors. I thought their prices and service was fine. the windshield and back gl*** were already good.
Street Rod Gl*** in Riverside. They cut the windshield and both door windows for my '39 p/u. Very professional, reasonable price, fast service, and a hot rodder to boot. https://streetrodgl***.com/ 18935 Van Buren Boulevard STE A4, Riverside, CA 92508 (951) 789-8870
I had a bad experience a few years ago with Vintage Gl***. I would not recommend. I am sure you can find a shop in your area that can cut your gl***. Be patient, our industry in upside down right now.
Thanks for the heads up. I was in Street Rod Gl*** today and got it ordered. Good price and NO shipping costs. We talked for a bit and this guy knows his stuff and I learned a few things from him.
Knowing that most people who call are just time-wasting "price shoppers", if you were running a business and you had two people waiting at the counter and the phone rings, which would you serve first, those that are actually serious about buying something or the guy on the phone? What I'm saying is why what you did worked.
There a shop in Washington state Believe , advertise on flea bay , I heard guys had issues with , I took a chance called & order gl*** for 32 5w , older gentleman answer the phone, one week later delivered , no problems with order & I can be picky.
At the auto parts stores, we can be at the counter and ready to be helped then the clerk answers the phone and takes a phone order leaving us looking at them. I leave when this happens. You're right. I would serve those who are in person before a phone order. Place the caller on hold while tending to a real customer.
