    Colin,
Looks great already just by swapping out the frame! Good luck with it!

Thanks everyone for the positivity! Hopefully will have it wrapped in time to drive it in the spring!

  3. The regular sedan windshield is vertical and the slant tilts back a few degrees?

That’s correct. They utilized the Victoria cowl.

If I'm not mistaken, the windshield posts were layed back 7 degrees...same as a '32 Ford.
I can't see the rear of the body enough to tell if it's a 160A or 160B...but if those are the correct fenders, it's a 160A. The 160A (Town Sedan) had a rear mounted spare, while the 160B (Deluxe Town Sedan) had dual side-mount spares and provisions for a rear mounted luggage rack.

  9. sometimes you get lucky and find one within a mile of your house, as is here.

I got my body 4-1/2 miles from my house...from a local "Modal A guy" who never sells anything.
I had to trade him a '31 pickup cab, a rare '31 wide bed pickup box, and $500 for it. Yeah, I think he screwed me, but I really wanted that body...and it was pretty much rust free:D.

He spent the $500. but the cab and bed are most likely in the back corner of his garage. o_O

Box is done done. Keys in the pitman arm were removed and tie rod end retapered. Zerk added. Now to replace the gears and she’ll steer!

By the way, if anyone has any advice (or a video!) on how to rebuild one of these, that would be much appreciated!

Briggs made them as well as Ford, I read that parts from all three Slantwindow body makers will interchange. Mine is a Briggs

Some final touches to go on the column drop, then on to the steering shaft/wheel hub fitment. C8ECA605-E338-4F99-9745-9B7A4ADB0DD8.jpeg

Nice column drop, are you using the stock cowl gas tank? If so keep an eye on the stock column drop attachment, you now have more leverage, and it could start weeping.

No, tank will be relocated behind/beneath the rear seat.

Nice job on the column drop...looks great.

If you're not using the stock gas tank, a 32-34 Ford pickup dash is almost a bolt-on. You will have to cut the old tank out and trim about 3/16 inch off each side of the dash...it also matches the curve of the windshield/dash rail perfectly.

EDIT. This dash would also work well on 30-31 Ford Victorias and A400s, as they use the same cowl as the Slantwindow Sedans

I think I’m going to use the gas tank as a dash and housing for any electronics and battery. Need to find a dash rail though.

Anyone know what patch panels I need to get for the back panel/corners? Definitely different than standard model a. Do I need to find ones for a 32??

Yes, the '32 patch panels are about as close as you are going to get. The "reveal line" isn't as tall as the Model A, but they can be made to work.

Slow, but sure. Kinda getting it how I want it now. Swapped out the aftermarket axle for the old A axle that was under my T coupe. I’m going to do a little spring work and get the front end down another inch or so. I like the Von Esser banner in your garage.
The house where I grew up was on Irving Park Road, about ten miles west of the speed shop.

    Hey Bob,
    Maybe these might help
This one appears to have a 4" or 4-1/2" chop. I thought it was a little too much, and I noticed it had sort of has a high spot above the C pillar so...
    0.87.jpg

...so I chopped mine 3" in the front, and 3-1/2" in the rear in an attempt to "soften" that high spot. It kinda worked;)
