After quite a few miles with me in the roadster, she's not at all concerned about AC :)

We were freezing on the drive home (across Iowa) during 20-something temps, so good heat is much more of a priority. We both still enjoyed the trip, though!

To me, this is a perfect shoebox... and I love the choice of the 265/t5... drivability without destroying all the character... But the color, stance, wheels...

It's funny too... cuz when I featured this car I actually thought of Malcolm. I think because of the wheels? Malcolm always does a good job of going with the unexpected without being too far out there? Or something?

Regardless, this is a good match.

It would be interesting to see with a few different wheel/tire combos. I must say that I do like what it has on it now.

It almost seems like this car would look good with OE style chrome wheels with redline tires.

And funny that you mention black steelies. It had them on it with black wall Firestones before the current set.

Ahhh... a shoebox Ford... what a sweet ride! One of the favorite cars I've owned was my '49 sedan. 3" chop, spots, skirts and yes, it had a 350/350 in it, 'cause I couldn't afford a Ford. That car rode like a champ, had plenty of power and was a whole lot of fun! I'll bet yours is all those things and more.

If the paint wasn't SOOOO nice, I'd say all it needs is a little bit of a haircut to be perfect but that is a reeeeeely nice ride there indeed.

Man I think those wheels look perfect personally.... I'm also a fan of keeping ford/Ford under the hood, but if you're gonna switch it up, hard to argue this one is perfectly done. Damn nice car.... May you guys enjoy it and cruise in safety!

To my eye at least the club coupe follows the 39/40 coupe roofline and is as pleasing to the eye. I think this car would look great with redline tires but chrome wheels would distract attention from the tasteful bodywork.

Great looking car Nick. I’ve put thousands of miles on my shoebox coupe and they offer a huge trunk and plenty comfy for family on long trips.

That’s pretty. Just got a 50 Club Coupe myself. Im thinking of renting out the trunk on Air B&B.

After driving the car for a year on the Rocket wheels and bias ply Firestones, I decided to change it up a bit.

I picked up a nice set of '56 Ford 15" wheels from a good friend. He sprayed them body color and I picked up new '51 style dog dish caps from Shoebox Central in Oklahoma. The tires are Auburn Deluxe radial WWW from Diamondback Classics. 6.70x15 front, 7.10x15 rear. Nice tires that balanced well and ride/drive great.
