Talked to these guys in Des Moines and in Louisville. They were complete ***'s. Sure are stuck on themselves and a little pricey. Just my opinion.

Seriously? Why is there only negativity responses when 216 people looked at this thread and im the only positive? There prices are higher than JUNK sure. Also higher than EGAY but seriouly they brought the parts with them and you can actually see what your getting instead of some bate and switch internet sale. Just MY $.02

I have only had great service with Streamline! I'll bet $100 that 80% of the people whining about Streamline have never even done business with them and that they're just bandwagon jumpers.

I have spent a lot of time in their booth at events and hear FIRST HAND the retaded questions and low-ball offers that they have to endure. They are a business not a swap meet vendor.

Like just today I overheard a guy offer $1100 for a frame setup that the entire industry charges $2100+ for all day long. They were asking $1900. Another guy asked if the Demon 3x2 setup they sold would fit the aircleaner that that his Holleys were under. When they politely told him no, he angrily snorted about how it won't work on HIS car. Like it was their fault.

The other funny/retarded/rude thing that people constantly ask ALL show vendors is what the "show discount" is. The show discount is that the vendor drug all their **** to your town and you don't have to pay shipping.

I also think it's funny that no one mentions the tons of rude customers. I see it firsthand all the time.

    NOT REALLY ...

Lots of vendors advertise a " Show special " and I have gotten as much as 30 per cent off ... by asking for the " show special " :)

    Especially ... on Sunday ...

Yep, you're right. And Streamline has "show specials" that are marked, but I personally feel it's rude to ask a retail vendor for a discount on something that's not marked as discounted and then get pissed off when they don't give you one. I don't ask for a discount at Safeway when I buy my groceries but I take advantage of sale priced items.

Still no mention of rude customers. Should all vendors have to be saints who can endure any level of smart*** comment and rude behavior?

I'm not saying that vendors or the Streamline guys have never been rude, but maybe people should step back and think about what they go through and what it takes to be on the road for months at a time without a day off and away from your family. Again, it's no excuse for unprovoked rudeness, but everyone has their tolerance limits.

I just think that Streamline has gotten an unfair shake on here at times because they do not come on here to tell their side of the story. It's easy to stand behind others and scream "yeah, you ****", when you don't have any personal experience with them.

Obviously they do something right. They have a great product selection that shows they know what people want and their business continues to grow. So they must not piss off every customer. Do people really think they are that stupid?

Personally, I always ask for a discount. Seems to work more times than not. If I don't get it, oh well. And vendors should be used to retarded questions. Just look at most of the people at these shows and you don't think they can handle retarded?

OK, how about this? Suededbox gets on here with no prior bias from the HAMB toward Streamline, says he got great service, and everyone wants to turn him into a hater too by sending him to other ***** posts.

Why doesn't a good experience carry as much weight as a negative one? Because it's easier to whine and point a finger, and even easier to jump onto someone else's whiny bandwagon.

  15. absolutely correct. I never ***** about anybody's service or product. Of course, I am a big boy, and I do make my own decisions. If I get screwed, I file it away for my own personal reference. I'm not my brothers keeper.

Amen Kirk! , Part of the problem seems to be an en***lement at***ude. Do you deserve a discount? Just so you guys know... most vendors do give one. Here's the requirement: usually a $5000.00 "buy in" and an additional agreement to purchase additional amounts every year after that. Anyways, here's my take on this. If you don't think it's worth what they are selling it for, then: (A) don't buy it (B) Go try and buy/find it used (C) Use some of your own talents to fabricate one yourself or use your network of friends to help make or source the item.
Why begrudge the business that cares enough about our patronage to hire sales people/ truck drivers / order takers etc? If this was your job, you would want to be paid, right? I personally like being able to pick up the exact part I need at the show without any wait or cost for shipping.(Which the vendor "ate the cost" for you by hiring the above workers. At the end of the day these guys have to turn a profit or they will cease to exist. Many people have no clue when it comes to overhead costs.
So commence with the tirade on me now that I stuck up for vendor who never got his re****al. If you dont like what I am saying here then there are two ways you can get ...... and one of them is over it.

I do not get upset IF I do not get the " SHOW Special or discount pricing " :) ... I just usually try to find another vendor who will discount theirs.

A Lot of the parts are made by one company and sold and marked up by a LOT of different vendors. It's called BUSINESS . I can live with them making a profit ... or they would not be there ...

I know that the space the vendors PAY for at NSRA and GoodGuys ... run in the thousands ... so they have to make $$$ ... just to break even. A vendor friend told me a few years back that he almost never makes money at the events ... he tries to break even ... But he goes because ... The phone starts ringing when he gets back home ... and that is the reason he goes to the big events.

A few years back, I bought a complete TCI stage III ch***is for a 40 Ford at the Nationals and saved about 2 grand ... and got free shipping. I had to write the check then ... ( at the NSRA Nationals ) but I got a good discount ... by asking and negotiating ... :D

I believe Roadstar's son works with these folks ...
so I would not figure Race would be rude ... ask for RACE ... :D

Race works for Gennie Shifter which is owned by Streamline. Race has the Gennie Shifter booth at the shows and the Streamline booth is usually manned by others. Race likes to joke and have a good time with his customers, or potential customers, and realizes it's easier to have a good time with them then not. I have never heard him say a rude word to a customer and we spent alot of time with him in his booth this summer.

I had a great experience when I purchased from Streamline a couple years ago. Eric (VAPHEAD) did a good job of taking care of me.

This summer I had another great experience with Eric and his own new store, Riley Automotive.

As is usually the case, the person you deal with makes all the difference.

Yep, Race is currently one of only two people in the booth. He is both knowledgable and courteous but would have to be one of the "***es" mention above.

Streamline does a fine job the majority of the time servicing their customers. I'm sure it's not always the case, but it's never the case every time with ANY vendor. I have dealt with hundreds over the years and have had good and bad with each of them for the most part.

I have no reason to defend Streamline other than they seem to be the current witch being hunted and I have seen their quality of service firsthand in literally hundreds of transactions while on the road.

I can't speak for phone service because I have never called them.

I've bought parts from Streamline and Vintage on several occasions over the past few years and have always had outstanding service and support.

    Well put.

I always got great parts and service from Eric, and will continue at Riley's. I also got great service on some odd-ball stuff from Streamline after he left. I think a lot of it is the at***ude YOU bring to the transaction.

    A couple of things:

    1. Streamline was not randomly picked to be "hunted" by members of the H.A.M.B. They put themselves where they are and I have much more evidence to prove that than to prove otherwise.

    2. I think everyone should be willing to give folks second chances. Lord knows I've needed em on more than one occ***ion. Knowing that, I would be more than willing to back the guys at Streamline if they wanted to get on the H.A.M.B. to fix some of these PR/CR issues... Straight answers, solutions, and decent customer service would fix all of this. In fact, I think it would do wonders for business... Proof? See Coker.
