Are the standard pickup cab and the 1.5 ton dually cabs the same? how about grills and hoods? thanks for any help on this
Verde is right. I'm pretty sure the difference on the front fenders is a wider well for the spare on the big trucks.
Yes they are the same cab, the fenders are the same ,with the exception of a stamped bump to clear the rivets on the big truck frame and the flange is a little wider on the frame rail. The grilles are the same, but the big truck is heavier gauge steel and weighs 7 more pounds then the pickup, they fit the same though. The hoods are both the same. Truck running boards and pickup boards are different. Hope this helps
memory says '33s had 2 cabs, something about the roof bead... they both bolted to the frame the same way...
Here's a couple threads that may help Differences between 1932 pickup cab vs. A model vs. 33/34? | The H.A.M.B. (jalopyjournal.com) Model A Ford Garage ~ 1932 - 1934 Model B BB V8 Ford Truck Cab Identification
The '34 has a different wider beltline stamping across the back of the cab than '32 and '33. '32 firewall bolts in, '33 and '34 is welded in. Mac Hils' book details all the differences between the '32, '33, and '34 cabs.
