Would that be Rosemarie Genuso, Tom Mc Mullen's wife by chance?

Dan no that is Carol Yenter out of the Pacific Northwest. She ran the car with her husband Art for a number of years in the 60s from sports to running early funny car cl***es on nitro. With her attire she may be using some fuel at this date.

Jim, that was a great looking car. Do you know if it was a strong runner?

Interesting history on this one and it’s definitely a Hot Rod. I had never seen some of these pictures of Scottys car before.

I think this is after Napfel had the 55 Chevy g***er called "Storming Bull" I seen that car race around 64. I never saw this Corvette run.

Jason I am not sure how strong of a runner it was. It was most likely compe***ive in sports and modified sports but not so sure in the early funny car cl***es including FX. Carol and her husband Art like so many others in the era decided to have a purpose built flip top funny car but they ended up selling the half finished funny and I believe they pretty much gave up drag racing, as the story goes. Charlie Wilson's Vicious Vette ran like hell for a 58 Vette in the early funny car cl*** but they never won any big meets that I am aware of (ran some 8s at 150+)They also retired the Vette and went to a flip top car. I suppose the same can be said for Mr Pickett.

I'm wondering if anyone has any info on this Rod Shop Corvette. Engine details, interior color. Any other photos, than these that I already found. Thanks

  22. The only thing missing from this thread ( in my humble opinion that is) is a photo of Ms. Linda standing next to one of them. Just sayin.

Holy moly that is cool! I'd love to see inside the ****pit of that thing. Look at where the steering wheel is located.

Gearhead in M/SP you where allowed a 25% set back though not all the Corvette guys moved them back that far. When the cl*** was eliminated, those with a 10% setback went into gas cl*** and those with a 25% setback like us went to altered.

Bruce I am mildly familiar with the car. It is a 60 Vette out of Syracuse that ran a 426 Hemi. The number 283 was from the 1967 Springnationals. It did have some serious setback. I would guess 25% which it was allowed in 67. I remember watching a couple with serious setback run but I would always cringe watching them.
