Got a bit more done on the duece tonight, i didnt get much done on it this weekend so i figured id better get somethin done. i was working on the back panel area and the piece of floor that curves ove the top of the gas tank, and made a little patch panel for the bottom curved reveal.
ive never really gottin into making little patches like this but i think it turned out good for not knowing what the hell i was doing, i only used my pic hammer my vise and a dolly! should be able to fine tune it once its welded in.
wanna see a horrible pic?? its scary.... the quarter you see above is the good one, take a look at the bad one! i got alot of hammering and welding to do here!, there was tons of bondo, lead and br*** in it, and about 25 little holes for a slide hammer id ***ume, but they didnt even get it pulled out! its gettin better, just taking my time on it. Stay tuned for more pics, im not posting to many pics am i? it can get anoying, but its fun to show progress cause usually no one sees what i started with, just what i have at the time, and its still kinda ****py to them, but i know what i started with!!!
***us,keep up the pace your goin and you'll be cruisin soon enough eh! Looks kill so far.Nice work bro.....Shiny
hey ***us, great work there man. and we NEVER get tired of progress pics! that quarter sure reminds me of my A-bone, there was a second quarter panel riveted over the original and bondo-ed over! just take your time, your gettin there and you'll be cruisin in no time, it'll all be worth it! mike
Nice work so far, particularly with making that patch panel! I've never tried it (yet), can only imagine what patience and guess work that takes. This is encouraging- I've been hunched over the rear fenders of my Effie in the garage, taking the old filler out, finding out what scariness lurks beneath, wishing I could weld, glad that it won't be needed (just tricky filler work, like the builder before me). Keep those update pics comin' in!
